have been pretty crazy/fun. boston was super cool. went to fenway park for a red sox game, my favorite part of which did not even have to do with baseball. clay and i decided we were going to have the fenway experience and get a "10 dolla beeh and a 15 dolla suwasage," and that we were going to order them like true bostonians...so i got in line for the sausage and he was in line for the beers. after ordering the sausages, i asked the lady "yous got an mustahd?" in the thickest accent i could, and without looking up she told me it was behind me - a high point in my journey being that her nonchalant disconcern with my northern accent spoke volumes for the authenticity of my delivery...;) . anyway, clay lays on the same accent for the beers..."i'll take twoo heinekens pleaths." and the lady asks for his i.d., whereupon clay hands over his alabama driver's license. noticing the incongruence in accent and home state, the lady merely looks up at him with that "yeah right" look and moves along.
hilarious.
but you probably had to be there.
the north is an awesome place to people watch. so many interesting people. especially gweedos....
but now i'm in saratoga, ny, about to be on my way home tomorrow to start class. saratoga has been awesome. had a fun fly fishing trip, ate some awesome food, met some cool people, and for the first time, left the week with more money than i started. now i am by no means into gambling. i'm more into the horses themselves (bloodlines and trainers, etc.) and i'm much more the type who would rather take home his paycheck than try to improve it by gambling, but lady luck was with me and things were good. when you know more about what happens behind the scenes it makes the races more enjoyable.
so i'm officially not pre-med anymore. i'm still going to be a psychology major, but i'm going to add an economics or marketing minor. i've been looking on auburn's website about business minors and, being that there aren't too many, we'll see what i turn out with. i'm pretty excited about it though, i feel like i have finally found something really worth turning into an adult for...
i'll let you know how it goes.
